Reactions
Let learners respond with a single tap — Like, Love, Support, and more — across your community.
Reactions are the quickest way for learners to respond. With one tap, a learner can show how they feel about a post — no typing needed. They're a light, friendly way to keep your community active.
The reaction types
There are seven reactions to choose from:
| Reaction | Often used for |
|---|---|
| Like | A simple "yes, good." |
| Love | Strong approval or appreciation. |
| Haha | Something funny. |
| Support | Encouragement and solidarity. |
| Sad | Sympathy or disappointment. |
| Angry | Strong disagreement or frustration. |
| Dislike | A simple "not for me." |
How it works
- Each learner gets one reaction per item.
- Choosing a new reaction replaces the previous one. For example, switching from Like to Love simply changes the reaction — it does not add a second.
- To remove a reaction, a learner taps the same one again.
How a learner reacts
- A learner finds a post — for example a discussion or a comment.
- They tap the reaction button.
- They pick one of the seven reactions.
- To change it, they pick a different one. To remove it, they tap the same one again.
What the learner sees
- A row of reaction options on each post.
- A count for each reaction, so it's clear how the community feels at a glance.
- Who reacted, so learners can see who appreciated their post.
- Their own current reaction, highlighted so they know what they chose.
Like the rest of the community, reactions are available on content a learner is enrolled in. Reactions on a course a learner has not joined will not appear for them.
Tips
- Reactions are a low-effort way to keep quieter learners involved — not everyone wants to write a comment.
- A wave of Support reactions can be a strong signal that a learner needs more help or encouragement.
