Instructors
Assign teachers and assistants to your courses, paths, and cohorts, and feature them publicly.
Instructors are the people who teach. You can assign them to any course, learning path, or cohort, give each one a role, and feature your best teachers so learners can discover them.
Instructor roles
When you assign someone, you choose a role:
| Role | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Instructor | The main teacher leading the course. |
| Co-instructor | A second teacher sharing the lead. |
| Assistant | A helper supporting the class — answering questions, grading, and so on. |
You can assign more than one person, and mix roles — for example, one instructor and two assistants.
How to assign an instructor
- Open the course, learning path, or cohort you want.
- Go to its Instructors area.
- Click Add Instructor and choose the person.
- Pick their role: instructor, co-instructor, or assistant.
- Optionally turn on Featured to highlight them publicly.
- Click Save.
Featuring instructors
Mark an instructor as featured to highlight them. Your platform also has a public list of instructors, so learners can browse and discover the people who teach. Featuring your strongest teachers helps attract enrollments.
What the learner sees
Learners see the assigned instructors on the course, path, or cohort page. Featured instructors appear in your platform's public instructor list, where learners can browse teachers and the courses they offer.
Tips
- Assign at least one instructor to every offering so learners know who teaches it.
- Use assistants for large classes so questions and grading get covered.
